Indian American business executive Sundar Pichai was termed as Google’s CEO in August 2015. Pichai earned $100.5 Million in 2015, according to a regulatory filing released on Tuesday.

The filing disclosed that Pichai was paid a salary of $652,500 and “awarded restricted stock” valuing $99.8 million including other compensation of $22,935. Last February, Google allotted $199 Million in restricted stock to Pichai which was the considerable grant reported by a Google CEO, as per Bloomberg.

Pichai was named as Google CEO after its founders, Sergey Brin and Larry page re-organised the assets of the company and became President and Chairman of Google’s parental organisation, Alphabet Inc. Surprisingly, both the founders take home a salary of $1 every year.

Initially, Pichai handled Chrome and Apps to Android and gradually Google. Being a CEO, he supervises all the department including VR division.

Pichai joined Google as its VP of product management in 2004 where he supervised the team working on Google Chrome and operating system.

Pichai also supervised the launch of the Google Chrome on September 2008 and after some time, he headed web based Chrome operating system for netbooks and desktops.

A year later, Pichai was named in charge of Android after Android’s co-founder and CEO resigned in March 2013.
