According to rumors, Samsung is set to launch all new smartphones, S7 and S7 Edge, on February 21, 2016.

We all know about Samsung’s upcoming smartphones, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. They will make their first presence on February 21 during MWC next month in Barcelona, Spain. These two smartphones will be announced at a separate event which will be held on February 21.

Samsung Galaxy S7 will be announced on February 21, rumor says

It has been rumored that Samsung plans to announce the S7 and S7 edge at a pre-MWC 2016 event. However, the actual date is a supposition because Samsung did not send any invites so far. A person, namely Evan Blass, has shared some screens that reveal February 21 as the launch date for Samsung’s Upcoming smartphones. His screen displays the hashtag #TheNextGalaxy, and the following screenshot shows the launch date.

Evan Blass also shared some official press renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

Features of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge 

It is said that S7 will come with 5.1 inches screen while the Galaxy S7 Edge will come with 5.5 inches screen, and both the devices will be super AMOLED displays at QHD resolution. S7 and S7 edge will likely have 4 GB Ram and 32 GB/64 GB storage variants. Samsung S6 didn’t have an SD card slot, and users badly criticized Samsung. It seems Samsung may bring back the SD card slot in S7 and S7 edge. Unlike Samsung’s S6, Samsung S7 is said to be as water resistant as Samsung’s S5.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature a 3,000 mAh battery which includes USB Type-C Port. However, Edge Variant may have a massive 3,600 mAh battery.

Samsung S7 and S7 Edge may have 12 megapixels camera. As we know, Samsung S6 and S5 came with 16 megapixels camera, but S7 and S7 will likely feature 12-megapixel cameras with improved f/1.7 lens aperture,e which will be able to capture photos in low light conditions. As we know, Samsung’s S6 came with a bulged camera, but Samsung may omit bulged cameras in S7 and S7 Edge.
