Google To Shut Down Picasa Very Soon

In a blog post, Anil Sabharwal, Head of Google Photos said Picasa users can use Google Photos App instead of Picasa. Also the users who have Picasa account can swiftly access, modify and share their content by logging into Google Photos and all your photos and videos will be present there. However, users who want to stick with Picasa can still access the desktop app but they won’t receive any updates in future.

“However, for those of you who don’t want to use Google Photos or who still want to be able to view specific content, such as tags, captions or comments, we will be creating a new place for you to access your Picasa Web Albums data. That way, you will still be able to view, download, or delete your Picasa Web Albums, you just won’t be able to create, organize or edit albums (you would now do this in Google Photos). “

So, this is all about the Google’s decision to stop Picasa Services. The reason behind this decision is that Google wan’t to focus on single photo app, that is Google Photos. We hope that you loved this article, feel free to share this with your friends.
