Future Is Here! Elon Musk’s Hyperloop Coming To India

Well, technology is moving at a rapid pace, and with every new introduction, the world is getting closer. So, now the “FUTURE” is here, and something is about to become real that we usually read on our fictional books and experience in films.

You might have heard about Hyperloop technology? Which is a new way of transportation, which is aimed to make traveling much easier than before? You will travel in pod-like vehicles through vacuum tubes, and the speed will be 1200km/hour.

The Idea of Hyperloop technology was made forward by Elon Musk, The company named “Hyperloop One” was based in the US. The description on the company’s website reads:

“Hyperloop is a new way to move people and things at airline speeds for the price of a bus ticket. It’s on-demand, energy-efficient and safe. Think: broadband for transportation.”

As for now Hyperloop One has considered four potential routes in India

  • Bengaluru – Thiruvanthipuram
  • Chennai-Bengaluru
  • Mumbai-Chennai
  • Mumbai-Delhi

Here is the complete route plan as tweeted by the company itself:

Guess what? With Hyperloop One you can travel between Chennai to Bengaluru in just 30 Minutes! Even if you took flight, it would take around 1 hour. So, the newly proposed technology is faster than Airlines too!

The company already introduced a route between Dubai and Abu Dhabi in 12 minutes, and implementation would take around five years. However, one this is sure that this new technology will revamp the traveling experience.

The company has just approached the government to implement this type of technology, and we have to wait to know the response of the government. However, the new way of traveling will be costly because the cost of construction is around Rs 72 crore per kilometer. The estimated price of tickets will be around Rs. 6,000.
