Twitter Suspends 360,000 Accounts For Promotion Of Terrorism
The Social networks have come to connect the world in a surprising way, for good and for evil. With social networks, terrorism began to gain a new way and many of the followers of these radical groups were “recruited” through accounts on Twitter, Facebook or other more routes protected as the instant messaging service Telegram.
The microblogging platform Twitter Inc maintains its fight against the terrorist actions and so far it has already suspended more than 360,000 related accounts.
Last February, Twitter said it had blocked 125 thousand accounts associated with terrorism, in particular, the self-proclaimed Islamic State (The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – ISIS) and others. Since then, the fight against terrorism by the social network did not stop and was suspended over 235,000 accounts.

The suspension of these accounts comes more as an effort to shut down the lines of communication within and between terrorist groups simply to prevent the spread of their extremist message and hatred.
“As most people around the world, we are horrified by the atrocities perpetrated by the extremist groups. We condemn the use of social networking to promote terrorism and the rules make it clear that this kind of behavior, or any violent threat, is not allowed in our service” stated Twitter in a blog post.
The last few months have been a real terror in the world with terrorist attacks claimed by ISIS and others simply inspired by him and despite the good will and efforts of companies like Twitter, these attacks seem to have no end in sight.

Social networks, in general are even identified as accomplices and promoters of terrorism in the world. Even a week ago, Twitter was acquitted of a charge by the wife of a man killed in an attack last year in Jordan. According to the woman, Twitter lets a group of Islamic terrorists to use its freeform network to spread the message, raise money and attract more followers.
