Oppo is gearing up to launch the new camera focused smartphone R9 which will be the successor of Oppo R7. The teaser image also discloses that the R9 will me made of metal. Other reports state that the camera focused smartphone will be launched on March 17.
Oppo To Launch Camera Focused Smartphone R9 on March 17
Oppo R7 was released on May 2015 and was announced in Plus and Lite variants. The teaser image disclosed the upcoming Oppo’s smartphone including its name as R9, another leak disclosed the launch date of the Oppo R9.
It seems that Oppo is gearing to release its new flagship smartphone very soon. Also, the advertisements at Subway and Bus stations in China disclose that the Oppo will be launching their flagship smartphone R9 on March 17. The camera focused R9 will have a great camera and is labelled as the new camera phone from Oppo.
Recently, Oppo developed battery charging technology which can fully charge the mobile phone in just 15 minutes. Oppo at MWC Barcelona presented new Super VOOC technology which will come with upcoming smartphones of Oppo. We can also say that Oppo could bring this technology in its new flagship smartphone R9.
The upcoming Oppo R9 could have 6 inch QHD [1440×2560] pixels resolution display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 Chipset, 3/4GB Ram and 64 GB expandable storage. Also, reports are stating that this camera focused smartphone could feature 21 Megapixel rear facing camera with 13 megapixel front facing camera. It could come with 3700 mAh battery and will likely run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The company says that it’s new technology, Super VOOC can fully charge 2500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes. It can charge smartphone to 45 percent in 5 minutes.
As we know that the upcoming Oppo R9 is camera focused smartphone so it could also have SmartSensor Image Stabilization which the company displayed at MWC Event 2016. The company at MWC said that its new SmartSensor Technology allows the world’s first sensor based, optical image stabilization which can significantly refine the image’s sharpness.
