Rumored OnePlus 3T launch is around the corner and a Mysterious ‘OnePlus Pixel’ Appears On Benchmark Site running Android 7.1

OnePlus Pixel: Mysterious Device Appears on Benchmark Site

We know that OnePlus is busy releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for their existing smartphones. At the same time, they are also planning to launch their next flagship smartphone that is expected to be named OnePlus 3T

OnePlus 3T is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 821 processor, Qualcomm said they already tested their new Snapdragon 821 in OnePlus device, while OnePlus itself confirmed the same thing and the teaser are going to be revealed on Nov. 15, Tuesday.

Recently, mysterious “OnePlus Pixel” appears on one of the most famous benchmarking website Geekbench. OnePlus Pixel doesn’t appear to be the OnePlus 3T. The device was spotted by PhoneArena.

The Mysterious OnePlus Pixel is running Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood and the processor is clocked at 1.59Ghz 1 processor, 4 cores. The most amazing thing is the phone will be running Android 7.1 (Nougat) which as we previously said is yet to be released in OnePlus devices.

The phone will have 6GB RAM according to GeekBench listings. The listing didn’t suggest anything about its storage, Display, and camera. However, Chinese handset maker OnePlus is known to work only on one smartphone at a time unlike other manufacturers so we can expect that OnePlus Pixel might be OnePlus 3T.

There is also a possibility that the device listed in Geekbench might be simply the OnePlus 3. The company might be testing android 7.1 before the update is rolled out to its OnePlus 3 customers.

Android Headlines pointed “OnePlus Pixel” label could just be a codename for the OnePlus 3 running Android 7.1 since the only other handset running that operating system is Google’s Pixel phones.”

Therefore, we have to wait for some more time until the company announces about their upcoming flagship. So, what you think about this mysterious device? Share your views in comment box below.
