As we all know that Huawei’s P9 is a flagship smartphone which is equipped with a dual-camera at its back and developed in conjunction with the Leica, designed to rival the DSLR. In a recent post on Google Plus, where Huawei had a photograph taken with Huawei P9, which was found that photo was actually taken with a high-end DSLR camera.

The Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei presented Huawei P9 in April 2016, a flagship smartphone which is equipped with a dual-camera at back developed in conjunction with the Leica, designed to rival the DSLR. In a recent post on Google Plus, where Huawei had a photograph taken with its flagship device Huawei P9, and it was found that photo was actually taken with a high-end Canon 5D Mark III DSLR camera.

Since the presentation of Huawei P9 that the Huawei is keen to highlight and promote the dual camera developed in conjunction with the Leica which is presented as a rival of DSLR machines due to the high-quality pictures resulting from its two lenses and all the processing involved.

However, this argument has not been able to generate any consensus, hence, the true quality of the camera and the role of Leica in the development of the camera lenses of Huawei P9 has now become the frequent topics of the discussion within the community.

In a recent publication in Google Plus, Huawei shared a photo taken with the P9 to show the capabilities and the quality of the camera. Hence, this was accompanied by a description which highlighted the capacity of the camera, photos in low light environment.

As stated that the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei, “We managed to catch a beautiful sunrise with Deliciously Ella. The #HuaweiP9’s dual Leica cameras makes taking photos in low light conditions like this a pleasure. Reinvent smartphone photography and share your sunrise pictures with us”.

But after analyzing the EXIF data which was extracted by the tech giant Google, that Huawei not removed, as it may possible to see that after all, to take the picture instead of using a Huawei P9, the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei might have used a Canon Kit of about $4,500 which was composed by DSLR Canon D5 Mark III along with the Canon EF lens 70-200mm f / 2.8L IS II USM.

However, Huawei has already reacted to this news by saying that the photo was taken professionally during the recording of an advertising of Huawei P9, which was shared to inspire the community.

As the Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei stated that “It has recently been highlighted that an image posted to our social channels was not shot on the Huawei P9. The photo, which was professionally taken while filming a Huawei P9 advert, was shared to inspire our community. We recognise though that we should have been clearer with the captions for this image. It was never our intention to mislead. We apologise for this and we have removed the image”.
