More than 11,000 chat bots have found their way to Messenger since Facebook in April a developer platform launched for bots and just within three months, they have become popular among developers and 23,000 more developers have signed up to use the tools provided by Wit.ai, a Facebook property that automates conversational interactions between users and businesses. As the news was announced by the David Marcus, the vice president of Facebook communication products.

Now, the new features which were added to make life easier for the interaction with these bots will have the ability to send quick replies. This means that you can choose from several predefined responses, without having to type out the reaction. These proposed responses are determined from the most recent responses you sent earlier to the bot.

The chatbots also got the new features in Facebook Messenger like they can also react with GIF image, audio, video and other file types. In this way, companies can “convey their nature”, as the vice president of Facebook communication products David Marcus writes. Also, bots can now connect the customer’s account, such as the banks or online shops.
