Facebook Is Building A Mind-Reading Social Network

It sounds like science fiction, but according to research by Business Insider, the social media giant Facebook is recruiting a secret team of experts to develop a “brain-computer interface” that simply allows exchanging thoughts through the social network. It would be something like a Facebook for telepathy!!!

Building 8, the division of the social media giant Facebook responsible for creating new hardware products to advance its mission of connecting the world has recently posted job vacancies for engineers specialized in this type of development.

The social media giant Facebook is secretly building an advance team apparently to work on new social media platforms that will use advanced neuroscience and electrical engineering.

However, the social media giant Facebook has not yet announced anything officially, but in 2015 its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, announced in one of the dynamics of questions and answers you do on your own, his vision of creating a device to read the thoughts of users and communicate them to through brain waves. That is to say that you could think of something and immediately your friends could perceive it.

According to the ad published by the Building 8 states that this team of advanced engineers will work on “developing advanced (brain-computer interface) technologies.” Moreover, it will also involve advanced computers and artificial intelligence simply to work with “neuroimaging and electrophysiological data.”

While another job published by the Building 8 reveals that the social media giant Facebook is looking for a haptics specialist also, who would help Facebook simply to use the touch interactions to build “realistic and immersive” experiences.

However, at the moment, we can’t declare anything with 100% certainty. As we have reached out to Facebook for a comment and new updates. But, the fact is this project would be based on techniques of neuroimaging and electrophysiological studies.
