Now Facebook can be surfed in encrypted mode as an application called Tor which is available for Android users. An application for secure internet connection without sharing the local location.

Facebook announced it is incorporating support for the network Tor in its Android application. Tor allows social network users to connect anonymously and securely through the Android platform application, a feature requested by those most concerned about Facebook’s privacy.

In 2014, Facebook began offering and stand for Tor, but mobile devices had been left out at the time. Now the social network ensures that “an important community of users” is using its platform through anonymously accessible networks.

Krauss said via Signal, an encrypted messaging service:

“In today’s world, we all are aware of cyber attacks, such as phishing and DDoS for websites, such thing is happening in everyday life, which seeks online security, and usually people or users from Facebook need much more security from their online trace system.”

“Privacy and security system will help users to hide their location, and they will be always free whether they will share their location or not; some people call it as lifesaving, and that’s true also because if you don’t wanna get hacked or compromised, with your personal things, then you are also bound to think that”

Facebook said in a blog post.

“We created Tor Onion and the address https://www.facebookcorewwwi.onion. A vast number of users are already using Tor around the globe, and widely used in the last survey of 2015, almost in every day, thousands of new users are joining; after its launch in 2014, Tor was only available for PCs, now it available for Android too.”

“We’re releasing this feature over the next few days to seek feedback which will help us create a great experience for using Facebook over Tor on Android. To get started, you can head to Google Play or the Orbot F-Droid repository and download Orbot: Proxy with Tor.

Facebook users might not see this feature yet. However, Facebook assures them that it will be available within this week. Once this feature is available, users wishing to access the social network through Tor only, for that users would have to download the Orbot application and select the option to “Use Tor via Orbot” Facebook application in the settings menu (Android).

Remember that the use of Facebook through Tor prevents the receipt of notifications. In addition, Tor is a system that allows you to access the Internet anonymously without a trace, where messages are sent between users traveling without revealing their identities and information.
