WhatsApp is having huge user base in India which is used to make voice calls and text messaging. Skype is particularly used for video calling purpose widely. These online services are getting cheaper and Indian Government is planning to merge them with telecom operators across the country.

The settlement to permit inter connect agreements between ISP’s and telecom operators will give a blow to Reliance Jio Infocomm which is expected to start services in the country soon, says report.
This decision might reduce the call charges, and quality of the voice will be dependent on the the ISP and stability of internet connection.

“The move has been cleared by the inter-ministerial telecom commission and groundwork to get it going will start soon,”.
